's been obtained by cnn shows that the romney campaign is apparently trying to lower expectations for the presidential debate. the first debate, of course is on wednesday. and in that memo romney adviser beth myers tells campaign surrogates there are several reasons that she believes the president will be likely to win the first debate, including this reason. here's a quote. this will be the eighth one-on-one presidential debate of his political career. for mitt romney, it will be his first. let's get right to congressman tim murphy, republican from pennsylvania. he's a romney campaign surrogate. nice to see you, sir. thank you for talking with us, appreciate it. >> good morning. good to be with you. >> thank you. i'm always very concerned on both sides in the campaign when they start saying really nice things about each other. everybody's been complimenting the other person's ability to do debates and highlighting the experience, and the -- the intrinsic ability they have. all of that, to me, goes to what this panel is, this memo is saying, excuse me. do you think that's true tha

a cartoon. mitt romney -- the u.s. should immediately bomb england. foreign policy with mitt romney. this is a cartoon that i had in my comic strip. we each have these -- i do not know. i am not sure if best and -- i promised i would not miss up your comic strip. we each do a comic strip so we are lucky as far as editorial cartoons. good to use the other side of our brands to read comics. i have been accused of making my way to political. this is my 9/11 tribute. it actually was originally a long strip. you have to turn your head to see it. i made it into an editorial cartoon. here is mitt romney having a candlelight vigil for osama bin laden. this is a cartoon i did the year after 9/11 about maybe some of the causes behind 9/11. this is also the year after 911. i call it the twin tepees. it marks the genocide that has happened. it was a reaction to some of the more excess of chest beating about 9/11. we never remember the other tragedies that have been on american soil. i do not really have anything to say about this. , everybody. the president will be fund-raising in d.c. today. mitt romney is doing fund-raising and rallying in pennsylvania, then heads to boston where he meets up with paul ryan for you guested it another fund raiser. the next big event is the first presidential debate this coming wednesday. the romney campaign appears to be advising surrogates to play up the president's experience and speaking skills and to lower expectations for mitt romney. beth myers whom you may remember headed up the vp search formy mitt romney's team, had sent out a memo saying while her boss has the issues and facts on her side the president comes into the debate with some advantages. she writes the president's big problem is his record. but the president does have plenty of first term accomplishments to brag about. now there has been a net job growth of 125,000 jobs since he took office. it's a small number considering how many people are still struggling, but shows an upward trajectory. and gets rid of a romney talking point. he likes to say we lost jobs overall over the
